MC4 Leadership Programme

MC4 LEADERSHIP PROGRAMME

We work collaboratively with our partner schools who refer to us students who will benefit from our programme. Over the course of a year, we provide two intakes with capacity for 100 students from certain year groups.

INTAKE 1: MC4 YR 10 PROGRAMME

Capacity: 50 students
Duration: 18 Weeks
Dates: August - November

The first encounter students have with our programme is our 'MC4 Encounter' event. A day where students get to engage in an interactive taster of what they will experience on their MC4 journey with their peers, and our amazing mentors.

At the conclusion of the MC4 Encounter, students are then invited to apply for a place within our programme. We want our students to make this choice for themselves, they are intuitive and know whether our programme will benefit their lives.

INTAKE 2: MC4 YR 12 & 13 PROGRAMME

Capacity: 50 students
Duration: 18 Weeks
Dates: March - June

A pre-requisite for students who enrol onto our programme is to have parent/s or guardian/s to support their application and participate on this journey with us. This fosters an inclusive and collaborative effort between parents, school and our organisation to support the leadership journey of our students.

Exploring our Pacific culture, identity and values through interaction and traditional talanoa
Confidence building activities
3-day overnight leadership camp for students
Plan and enact a service project that will benefit our community and build self-confidence
Wellbeing activities and initiatives
Parent & teacher connect dinner and talanoa
A range of NCEA Level 2 & 3 credits available on senior leaders programme
Career scoping events

We are anticipating a busy and fruitful 2022 as we prepare for our MC4 Senior and Junior edition of our programmes that will both start in March til June.
